Dream Keepers

My bead takes it’s inspiration from a fantasy world where trolls and gargoyles reside. My whimsical design depicts a tree trunk that twists and morphs into an irregular shaped bead (a similar size to the Thumbelina bead). Within the twisted branches, trolls or gargoyles are hiding. They are all linked to each other. There is also a small resemblance to the ‘Faces’ Trollbead – a little throwback to the roots of the collection.

Gargoyles are said to frighten off and protect those that it guards, from evil or harmful spirits – particularly when used on the outside of churches for example. The gargoyles featured on this bead are the dream keepers. There is a dichroic glass orb featured on one side of the bead, within a flower. This is where all the good dreams are stored.
